Roland Stormo

a silent handmade printing performance by Claude Marzotto and Maia Sambonet

October 2013

Artists: Claude Marzotto Caotorta, Maia Sambonet

Guests: Monica Bordegoni, Giovanna Calvenzi, Paolo Cavaglione, Massimo Pizzi, Paolo Inghilleri, Eugenio Alberti Schatz, Simone Mosca

Habit d’Imprimeur is part of a series of allegories of crafts engraved by Nicolas Larmessin in 1690, and it portrays artisans dressed of their own instruments.
Roland Stormo multiplies and puts in motion the figure of the printer to tell the traveling of machines and workers. A fleet of printed paper full of small gears takes flight on the ground vacated by Roland Ultra and it commemorates its leaving.
