The work unveils the Diurno P.ta Venezia (an underground public bath from the 1920s, abandoned for over two decades) with an operation of reconstruction and transposition of its volumes. Over the course of fifteen days, a group of workers simultaneously builds and demolishes the volume of the baths, mirroring its location and proportions. The involuntary memory, which permeates the spaces and generates imaginary reconstructions of past sensations, is nourished by the artistic intervention, which emphasizes the relationship between the fragility of memory, the elaboration of recollections, and the solid, unperturbed presence of architecture. At Assab One, the artist presents, with a video and a photograph, the house projects series, which began in 2002.
