The CONFLICT exhibition brings together the works produced by students of the Master in Photography and Visual Design by NABA, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, and constitutes the final outcome of a one-year course that involved the students in researching and interpreting the proposed theme, under the guidance of their lecturers.
Individual or collective, inner or manifest conflict is an irremovable human fact. It is at the core of the exhibition project curated by Luca Andreoni (NABA lecturer) and Francesco Zanot (Academic Master in Photography and Visual Design Course Advisor Leader). The showcased works explore current events as well as the history of the phenomenon. They face the theme through a free approach ranging from the observation of past battles to the analysis of the strains that affects people in contemporary society. The subject of the exhibition also influenced the creative process. In fact, the authors worked as pairs by reproducing some typical conflict dynamics. Then, their design and production practices spring from a continuous confrontation rather than from the intuition of one individual.
